DepthQ®s3DTM WebPlayer
DepthQ®s3DTM WebPlayer is a stereoscopic web player implemented right in your browser, leveraging the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and the ubiquitous Adobe® Flash engine.
By using today's digital technology we are able to re-visit and enhance one of the oldest stereoscopic methodologies known - spectral division, or 'anaglyph stereo'. In a multi-stage process, pre-rendered enhanced-anaglyph processing is ultimately delivered via a custom Flash webplayer which further processes the data in realtime, employing the GPU(s) of the receiving computer to deliver very high quality stereoscopic 3D that's platform, browser, and display-device agnostic.
By doing so, we can practically, efficiently, and economically deliver the magic of stereoscopic movies via IP to common desktop and notebook computers. Anaglyph (red/cyan) glasses are the only requirement. This technology enables the widest distribution, and can thus reach the most customers - making it ideal for events and marketing campaigns.
In comparison to previously available technologies, our solution for anaglyph is not biased by video compression artifacts. In fact, DepthQ®s3DTM's enhanced anaglyph technology overcomes all of the inherent technical issues in the traditional broadcasting of anaglyph images, allowing for the best stereo isolation to date - and thus providing a comfortable, satisfying and deep 3D experience.
Using our entire family of DepthQ® products, it is even possible to stream live stereoscopic 3D via the internet to the DepthQ®s3DTM WebPlayer.
Additionally, while we favor our own particular 'flavor' of anaglyph - a subjectively more colorful proprietary algorithm - we also recognize that anaglyph preferences are purely subjective - thus our player is capable of reproducing any flavor of anaglyph our clients may prefer.
This new look at an old technology is now ready to deliver quality stereoscopic 3D directly to your computer monitor. Also in the works - this player will soon support some of the previously "impossible to compress" full-color stereoscopic output formats like horizontal interlaced, vertical interlaced and checkerboard pattern, enabling true 3D-ready displays as well.
